Student Awards Ceremony

for College and High School German students
Cash awards are presented to HS students who scored in the top 15% on the National AATG German exam.
Six college students majoring in German will receive awards of $750.00 each. Four of these awards are granted by the German Society of Maryland. Two additional awards are granted by the Baltimore Kickers.

3:00-5:00 pm, Zion Church in Baltimore.

The Three Penny Opera at Towson University

“The Threepenny Opera” will be presented at Stephens Hall on the campus of Towson University. Approximately 20 students from Towson University and another 24 students from the Carl von Ossietzky Universität will comprise the cast of this exciting, trend-setting international venture.

Michaelis-Festgottesdienst

Zion Church, Baltimore, 5 pm.
Our annual festive Ecumenical Vespers Service, celebrating St. Michael and All Angels, and giving thanks for the freedom to worship in all German-speaking nations; co-sponsored by: The German Society of Maryland, the Society for the History of Germans in Maryland, Zion, Christ Inner Harbor and St. Mark’s Churches. Reception (co-sponsored by the German Society) after the service in the Adlersaal.
