March 28	The Annual Meeting and casual dinner of the German Society is held at the Zion Church in Baltimore. Dinner is at 7:00 pm. (free) Please bring a dessert. Meeting immediately following the dinner.
May 18	Student Awards Ceremony for high school German students Cash awards are presented to students who scored in the top 15% on the National AATG German exam. 3:00-5:00 pm, Zion Church in Baltimore. Award winners 2008

September 28	MICHAELIS-FESTGOTTESDIENST Zion Church, Baltimore, 5 pm. Our annual festive Ecumenical Vespers Service, celebrating St. Michael and All Angels, and giving thanks for the freedom to worship in all German-speaking nations; co-sponsored by: The German Society of Maryland, the Society for the History of Germans in maryland, Zion, Christ Inner Harbor and St. Mark’s Churches. Reception (co-sponsored by the German Society) after the service in the Adlersaal.
October 14	German American Day at McDaniel College The Department of Foreign Languages at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) invites you, your students, and anyone who is interested to attend German-American Day.
